Montessori Language Lesson: Introduction to Articles [Video]

The Elementary Program is based on the “Great Lessons” of Montessori education. In the video below, Nancy Hatton, Montessori Tides Elementary Teacher continues the story of Language with another grammar lesson. In the elementary level, the initial lesson is almost always given as an impressionistic lesson. This is the first impressionistic lesson to introduce the part of grammar of the article.

These videos are designed to share and bring awareness of the continual journey the Montessori Tides program offers from toddler to elementary. We encourage all to visit and witness these “Great Lessons” of Montessori education and see firsthand what lies ahead in the Montessori Tides Program.

“The elementary child has reached a new level of development. Before he was interested in things: working with his hands, learning their names. Now he is interested mainly in the how and why… the problem of cause and effect. The role of education is to interest the child profoundly in an external activity to which he will give all of his potential.” ~ Dr. Maria Montessori
