What do you get when you ask the Montessori Tides community to donate to the school’s USO food drive? You get elementary students cruising the aisles of Publix and then delivering almost $840 worth of groceries to the USO to help military families this holiday season!
Upper Elementary students and third-year Lower Elementary students broke into groups with a chaperone to walk the grocery aisles to look for sales and to practice their math skills. By the end of the trip, four cars were packed with food, and the receipt measured more than 14 feet.
Many thanks to the MTS community, which has kept this tradition of giving to the USO going for more than 10 years, and to the Neptune Beach Publix.
