Another Wine Down is in the books, but this year’s event broke some new attendance records, making it the most successful one yet. More than 80 attendees participated in the Wine Down and Silent Auction on February 27 at Royal Palm Wine and Tapas, up from 69 in 2014.
The breakdown of the highlights include:
- Greatest volunteer participation than any other Wine Down
- 106 items collected from local auction donors
- Classroom artwork
- Highest teacher participation than any other Wine Down
- Packed house
- Enthusiastic bidders
Those who came out enjoyed a great time, new and old friends, desirable auction packages, plus delicious tapas, signature hors d’oeuvres, wine and beer.
We offer special thanks to Danielle Wolf and the rest of Montessori Tides Children’s Foundation, as well as our wonderful parent volunteers for organizing this event.
The Wine Down and Silent Auction also broke records in funds, raising more than $4,500. Proceeds from this year’s Wine Down will be used toward completing the outdoor space behind the school, and will help fund continuing teacher education.
“Montessori Tides Children’s Foundation is so grateful to have the wonderful support of our teachers and team members, volunteers, individuals, friends, families and businesses in this community,” said MTCF President Rosie Hetman-Clemente. “Every year, people respond to help raise funds to ensure that Montessori Tides continues to fulfill their mission to Nurture Children and Families to Help Create the Leaders of Tomorrow. Thank you supporters!”
A special thanks to all of our wonderful business sponsors!

The Wine Down is a major fundraiser for MTCF; the Foundation is not-for-profit parent volunteer organization, which serves the Montessori Tides school teachers and students each year. It also is an opportunity to honor our students.
