Twelve of us from Montessori Tides drove to Orlando Thursday afternoon to join more than two thousand fellow Montessorians at the AMS Conference.
Volunteer presenters and keynote speakers shared their expertise, interest and experiences as it related to “Sustaining The Light In Every Child”. Many of them moved me beyond expectation; in the least, they brought inspiration through their passion.
As usual any ideas for art activities and applications for gross motor movement in the classroom are fun and practical to implement right away.
However, the real message that ran through all the presentations is that the human connectedness is the key factor that sustains the child’s natural tendency to develop and offers the support to overcome obstacles.
Connectedness is the motivating factor that keeps me loving this work.
