Class Snacks
The snack calendar will go home soon. As a reminder, we ask that you bring one organic grain and a fruit. We eat a grain in the morning and a fruit when we come in from outside by 11 a.m.
Toddlers & Choices
The children love to feel they have a say in what is happening. Giving them choices (two) is always helpful. In the classroom, we often use choices, especially during a transition, such as going outside.
“Would you like to hold your water bottle or should I?” (Often, they want to hold it.) Or “Which shoes would you like to put on to leave, blue or pink?” Give them time to process. Sometimes, if an answer doesn’t seem to come, we will then say, “Would you like me to choose for you?”
