Halloween brings special guests

Historical Halloween is always a fun day for the Elementary students.

We brought history to life at Montessori Tides School again this year with our annual Historical Halloween! Parents and students alike were treated to presentations by Amelia Earhart, Luis Lionel Andres Messi, Bob Montana, Ashley Fiolek, Michelle Obama, Napoleon Bonaparte, Benjamin Franklin, Dickie Moore and Susan B. Anthony. Upper Elementary did a fantastic job!

Our Gratitude Ritual

We learned at the beginning of the year that gratitude is good for us, helps ease depression and can even make us live longer! With this in mind, we share what we are grateful for during our first circle each morning. A sixth-year lights the gratitude candle, and we pass it so that each child has the opportunity to look within their heart and share. They also have the option to “pass” on sharing. It’s heartening to see that most times everyone wants to share! At the end, another sixth-year snuffs the candle. It’s a great way to start the day!
