Some of the Upper Elementary students may have dressed up as literary characters for Halloween, but Miss Danielle turned them all into real estate agents who had to sell a haunted house for a creative writing assignment. After the groups shared their stories, one was chosen as the stand-out story. An art project followed the writing assignment.
The chosen story was by Cady, Hunter and Jake.
House for sale! Lots of land too! This house is a massive mansion! Come on let’s have a look inside!
What’s wrong? Do you feel nervous, frightened, petrified, or uncomfortable? It’s totally fine! In fact, I feel excited or even brave! It’s such a masterpiece, who cares if it’s a little bit creepy!
What’s that you hear? Creaking boards, bats fluttering, screams and laughs, footsteps, even an organ playing? Chill! I kind of think the organ music is a bit relaxing! The bats will eat the insects, the creaking boards at least keep the house from falling down. OK. Before you say anything, let’s see what this house has to offer.
Hold on. You see a vampire, corpses, mummies, blood, coffins, bats, ghouls, spiders and cobwebs. The previous owners probably loved Halloween. Their just decorations. So what did you guys think of the house? You want to talk to the owners? Well they died here… but you guys can spend the night if you want? I’m sorry it’s a little too late for that! HELP!!! Well, they didn’t seem too interested. Would you like to come check it out?
