Lower Elementary Celebrates Día de los Muertos

The Lower Elementary classroom celebrated Día de los Muertos on Monday. The Mexican holiday remembers those who have died, and includes such traditions as private altars, marigolds and sugar skulls.

For their celebration, the Lower Elementary students brought in pictures of family members, friends and pets who had died, and talked about that person or pet.

The Lower Elementary classroom altar was decorated with sugar skulls and pictures of loved ones and pets.
