And just like that, we are in the last month of 2021! During the next month, the children will research the winter holiday traditions of various cultures in small groups. Research, writing, and project completion will take place during school. The children will present their projects to the class. The class also will be learning about types of soil, the rock cycle, and various rocks and minerals this month. They also will learn songs to perform for you during our holiday party on the last day of school before the winter break. We hope you all enjoy this season with your loved ones!
Holiday Party
Our Holiday Party will be Friday, Dec. 17, from 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the classroom. The children from both Upper and Lower Elementary classrooms will do a short performance to welcome the holiday season! Snacks will be available following the performance. A parent or guardian must be present during this time. This is a school-wide policy. After a snack, the children will be dismissed to leave with you. We look forward to celebrating and seeing you all here!
Supply Request
We are in need of shoe boxes for creating dioramas. The children can choose how to present what they have learned through the research process; dioramas and posters are popular choices. If you have any spare boxes, we would be grateful for the donation.
Thank you.
