Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday break. We are excited to start the new year off with our introduction to South America. We will begin our studies of animal classification, body functions and the timeline of life.
The timeline of life is a big lesson in the Lower Elementary curriculum. This is where we study the evolution of life from the fossil record beginning with the Paleozoic Era. This lesson takes many weeks, as we explore the different plants and animals that appear throughout the eras.
Please check the side of the snack calendar each month to see if you are signed up for volunteering. We have had several parents signed up to volunteer who missed their opportunity to be with us! The children love reading to adults, and cooking is a great learning opportunity.
Clothing and jewelry can be really distracting for children at school. Items that can be played with will most likely be played with. This keeps your child from having a successful day completing their work, and it distracts others. Be mindful of your child’s attire and remember our school’s dress code.
