The Lower Elementary students visited Tree Hill Nature Center in Arlington on Monday.
Students had an opportunity to learn about several animals, including opossums, alligators and snakes. After a short walk on the trails, the students toured the area housing an alligator, chickens, a barred owl and goats. The touch tank with fish and turtles in the nature center had the students in the water up to their elbows — sleeves and all, in some cases. The visit ended with a picnic lunch and some running around before heading back to the classroom.
Thanks, Tree Hill Nature Center for a great visit!
