The Bottle Project, a group started by juniors attending Stanton College Prep School in Downtown Jacksonville, is teaming up with as many “helping hands” as possible to help keep our beaches clean.
They were creators at One Spark 2014, promoting their message of environmental transparency. “One man’s trash is another’s trash can!”
Passionate to make our community a better place, The Bottle Project is working with local nonprofits Kids’ FUN and COAST to carry out their goal of creating the self-replicating recycle bins out of repurposed water bottles.
The team is traveling all over the Jacksonville area to bring awareness of recycling and environmental conservation. They’re making their way into schools and events around the community to bring awareness to our youngest generation about keeping our environment clean.
We are excited to announce that The Art and Science of Nature campers will be a “helping hand” and will take a field trip to work with The Bottle Project for a beach cleanup on Friday June 6! After the beach cleanup, the elementary campers will participate in a “recycled arts” activity at our school with members of the Bottle Project.
