Toddler Separation is big work for everyone involved! However, thanks to the home visit and open house, the children are separating very well.
Trust with the caregivers has been established and all the children are curious about their peers and the activities.
One toddler who just separated, stopped crying when Ms. Johanna softly sang the familiar “old Mac Donald had a farm” to her. Another little girl who had been initially crying went to check on another who just separated. It is amazing how toddlers can empathize at this young age!
Thanks to the Montessori prepared environment and brave parents, Toddler Separation has been a time of tending to each individual child to make them feel “at home” in environment.
