As I reflect on the past few months, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for Montessori Tides School; it truly is a magical place. The fall semester was filled with new experiences and relationships. We have been working hard to establish a pure Montessori classroom.
December was filled with community service and celebrations for world peace. The children have taken ownership for our space and are creating a beautiful community bond. We are looking forward to all of the growth and prosperity that our hard work will support.
This month, we will all be continuing our focus on fractions and discuss ratio and proportion. The verb is the most important part of speech this month, and we will discuss some persuasive essay skills. We will continue our study of Florida, the United States and the world.
Jan. 11-15: Fall registration

We are excited to welcome Shousei to our classroom this spring. He is moving up from Lower Elementary. This is an exciting transition. If you see him, please extend a warm welcome.
- Fundraising: The children and others have suggested making and selling seedlings, an Upper Elementary newsletter, bookmarks and other crafts. If you are interested, please call or send me a text so we can make a plan.
- Bookshelf: Our classroom bookshelf is in need of some re-organization! If you are available from 3-4 p.m., please let me know what day works best for you. You can bring your child to help with this work.
- Material Making: I am interested in having some parent volunteers join me after school from 3-5 p.m. to make materials for the classroom. Please let me know when you are available to schedule a time.
- Handy person: If you own a drill and are interested in helping us to organize our space, we could use some help. Please let me know if you are available to work on some projects for us.
