Danielle Trujillo, Lead Directress
Ms. Danielle is our newest teacher, joining our school community in September 2013. She brings a rich family and community heritage to our classroom, having been inspired by her grandmother to become a teacher. Ms. Danielle has taken her grandmother’s passion to heart and uses her childhood experiences to pursue teaching as a way to give back to the community.
Ms. Danielle graduated from the University of Miami, majoring in elementary education and psychology. Over the past nine years, she has given back to her community through her love of teaching. Mrs. Danielle has worked in many different educational backgrounds, including charter and public schools. In addition to teaching, she has been in charge of many community service committees.
When Ms. Danielle heard of the opening at our school, she was eager to observe.
“I was amazed to see children so engaged, working independently and modeling respect,” Ms. Danielle said. “It was like a breath of fresh air.”
She was inspired most by the Montessori Tides upper elementary community classroom. The sense of community and the mentorship between the students in our Montessori classroom matched her vision for education, which is to see children use the skills they learn in the classroom in everyday life.
Ms. Danielle brings her native Spanish and her extreme love for math to our classroom.
In her spare time, she enjoys paddle boarding and traveling with her husband and son.
